For this exhibition at CIC located at Groot Handels Gebouw in Rotterdam I built two installations.
The combination of text, image and decoration tells a story. These prints are made up of scenes from the short graphic novel ‘Writing down good reasons to freeze to death in my spiral ring notebook’. The subject matter revolves around themes of escapism, isolation, solitude and melancholy. It delves into memories of feeling safe and inspired in the cold.
This installation serves as an exploration of storytelling as a medium and explores the possibilities of adding decor and objects to literature to create more immersive stories.
