The Rijksmuseum van Oudheden issued an open call for young artists to present their view on identity and how it manifests for them. Their current exhibition on the Bronze Age focuses a lot on identity and how people presented their identity at that time.
The work I submitted consists of 6 illustrations. The first layers show the identity that anyone can see, and going further you see the more personal parts of my identity. I also speculated what would be left of my identity in about 3000 years. I printed my illustrations on clear film, made a nice booklet out of it and sent them my presentation video.
I was selected for the finale. I presented my work on stage in front of the audience and the jury. I won and my work was exhibited in the main hall of the Royal Museum of Antiquities.
